Ok, im just gonna translate the main idea of this article Kandyman. The diagram shows A,B,C for the basic idea of the knuckle modification.
A= helps with steering locking. Further you go away from the rack, less steering locking around the full lock position. You have to think about the heat from the brake rotor.
B=Shorter means=tires turn more with same input of the steering wheel. So you would get "quicker feeling" and more steering angle with out moding the steering rack.
C=Off set amount for bump steer and angle which you mount your tie rod end ball joint. When your car is on the ground and tires are turning, you don't want to stress out the ball joint so find the angle thats perfect for your set up.
