This street drift spot in Tokyo near the bay area,is one of the only spot where silvia and 180sx doesn't stand out. You still see a lot of silvia's here but you see a lot more of "6 car tandoming crews" with Sorers, Loarels, and sepheros here. This mourning at 6:30am, a crew of JZX30 soaer made a huge impact at this spot again, with the high pitch sound of 1jz up shifting to 4th while drifting +150km/h!
When we were shooting this footage, we asked a few drivers about why they chose Soar as their drift cars. Some said the sound but most the guys said its luxury feelings and its impact. Do you think drifting 4th gear in a big an expensive car on the street is awesome? maybe crazy. Yeah a brand new Soar coast $35000 compare to $32000 for JZX100, and$24000 for S14. In United states, Soar is sold as Toyota's luxury brand "lexsus" and came with the 4 litter motor. So its safe to say that Soar is truly a VIP car."aka luxury dress up category" Every one here had the minimum requirement modifications for"luxury dress up" like body kits, big shinny wheels and turbo upgrades.
Some cool mods on the Soar: ABS cancelation 2jz bottom end combined with 1jz head 18x11j stretched tire fitment duel electric fans on top of the factory shroud/fan take off undercoat/radio/heater(weight reduction on a heaviest drift car)
