I've been working on this concept since the creation of our PRO multilink.
I want to see if you guys are on board with where this idea is headed.
Some of our parts have gone through 5 generations in just 5 years, and each step along the way they have become more sophisticated adding more features and expense along the way. We consider it our job to think of how to make things better every day, and the PRO multilink is the toughest, longest lasting, trouble free, most beautiful suspension parts out there with all of the best features. Now I wonder no matter how fantastic they are, if we have left some customers behind who just don't have the money to pay $920 for RUCA TRAC TOE & TEN rods?
So I thought, what if we make a basic multilink that is simple, light weight, and inexpensive to fill the void? I came up with this design for a urethane based notch adjustable multilink without any bling that has more toughness than anything out there in the lowest price bracket. I have a feeling our competition is slanging loads of china spherical rod end based crap with shitty thread tolerances and shitty materials. Can a urethane based multilink priced real low beat out the chinaspeed bearing rods? I wonder if people will be down with this or if they think bearing is better than bushing regardless of the trash status of current low priced offerings?
Features:
~ Powder coat grey finish to keep your street machine on the DL ~ Chrome-Moly Tube ~ Pure Urethane Bushings ~ Made in the USA ~ Lifetime warranty on rods, Cheap replacement bushings in stock in USA ~ Same lowered car clearance design as our PRO arms ~ Solid arms (without threaded adjusters) for max strength & cant come loose ~ 35mm of infinite adjustability for RUCA and TOE from stock length all in the direction lowered cars need ~ Traction rod adjustable in 7mm steps to center your rear wheel when viewed from the side ~ Tension rod is adjustable 35mm in both directions for +/- caster adjustment ~ Do can do your own rough alignment based on our data of which hole to use and the eccentric bolt setting for your ride height ~ Priced to compete with the low price leaders
My Battle Version ae86 lateral rod has 1 bushing and 1 heim for a "street" application, they call it 50/50. & since I was going to make my own 4 link with a machinist friend, I thought about making it the same way.
Will this design be similar for your ae86 multilink? I thought I read you were maybe working on one.
