and is the shorter hole on mine the older style the same position as the pro one? same angle and ackerman? thanks dan.

yes pretty much same, although the old one was somewhat adjustable depending on the angle in which the weld on piece was attached. People with teh forged knuckles can still adjust ackerman with the rackbushing or inner tie rod spacer and the caster as well.
