Same basic strategy as the Z - convert dual pivot knuckle to single pivot, but this is a totally different implementation.

The Genesis coupe is very similar to the Z in that it must be converted from a dual pivot knuckle with separate tension rod and lower control arm to a single pivot knuckle and A-arm to get rid of the excessive camber and caster at around double the stock steering angle. The sway bar can no longer be attached to the coilover lower mount because the link will quickly bind from trying to pull the sway bar so hard. The new sway bar attachment point is the LCA.

Heres what we have come up with so far on the parts mock up, we have achieved quicker steering, and we are getting over 60 degrees of steering angle center to lock, and reducing ackerman to a mere 5 degrees difference at lock all while maintaining a much flatter contact patch at this angle than is possible with the OEM configuration at stock steering angle.

I will be testing this behind the wheel next week.

Very impressed with the development. I am definitely going to buy the kit as soon as you get them in stock. Any chance you can make a second set of prototypes so I don't have to wait for production:)? My d1drift tierods and spacers don't give me as much angle as I want. Slow steering return too. I'm over 7.8 caster. The pro coils are AMAZING by the way. Thanks for making those. If I can get a full cage and your angle kit by March 2012 I'm going to try my luck in Topdrift.

Major bucks I know it's probably to soon to ask but is there an eta on the production kit?

Prototype parts completed. We have achieved a completely bolt on knuckle conversion. The new mounting points on the knuckle fixture are double shear for the ultimate strength.

Some Considerations: This will not fit wheels smaller than 20". There is some power steering vibration feedback at really low speed like pulling in and out of a parking space at 1MPH. Need to look into the power steering system for some mechanical damper or electronic device that is effected by the additional torque. Needed to raise the car a little and also hammer the front apron portion of the wheel well for clearance. Need to relocate the ABS bracket or forget about it altogether. I personally dont care for the car doing my hard breaking for me, and conveniently the unplugged ABS sensors makes the traction control stay off at all times instead of me having to switch it off every single time I get in the car.

First drive impression: Amazing how much the roll center correction effects the cars handling. Steering is quick and go cart like but is in no way excessive or lacking accuracy. It has proper force feedback and steering wheel return, good high speed stability and most obviously, the annoying lowered car bumpsteer is eliminated. Steering feels amazing. Have not drifted it yet, but this obviously has the epic recipe for smoke storm countersteer madness.

Dan, I was wondering why your coilover top hat is set towards the front of the car. Do you know what your caster and camber are?

I dont know what the numbers are off the top of my head but the point is we are trying to reduce caster as much as possible for the best contact patch at lock. So the forward position of the coilover top mount is primarily for reducing caster and the camber setting is primarily adjusted on the lower control arm.
