Dry ice and a hammer and chisel. If it's the softer tar stuff (not as much generally) I usually just keep scraping at it with the hammer and chisel until it's all gone and then clean up the leftover residue with paint thinner or some other industrial cleaning agent.
I was on my last run of the day and bam...right rear meet concrete barrier...how you doing. I know better than to say last run. Not changing tires because it was to hot was a bad decision too. I should have just left. This is the second time I could have been stranded out in bfe, but thanks to the great drift community who are always there to help out a fellow drifter and the adjustability of the Max arms and rods I was able to drive my car home. One broken wheel, bent RLCA and toe rod taper tie was the result of my last run yesterday.
broke wheel with lca can make a sweet lamp !! lol stand wheel on end fasten lca to wheel up right and toss power threw it with light bulb and lamp shade out of um who knows be crative lol..
we have an aero parts hall of shame on the wall at the shop, LOL the drivers sign the parts = ) You could send in that part to me and i can figure out whats good/bad on it, weld on a new box maybe if you want to try to salvage or I can just send you a new one. Thats a really good picture of a proper part performance during a crash.... you always want it to bend instead of break
Lamp would be cool but it would just end up in the garage. I just pay for the house and live in it. I don't think I would hear the end of it if a lamp like that was in the house.
Thanks Dan, I'll ship the lca to ya. Let me know much for the repairs and I'll paypal it. I'll bring the wheel down when I get the front suspension work done from you. I don't think I've wanted anything more.
I haven't post in this thread in a while so this is what I've been up to, not that anyone cares. After fixing my suspension I stripped out my interior, put in a Deka battery and got the car down to 2970 lbs. I also got the MAX Super Steering Angle Kit installed. I haven't gone drifting on the kit yet but just from DD I can say that I love it. Could not ask for more. Since I spent so much on the best suspension out there for my car why not get it corner balanced to. So I took it down to West End where Darin dialed the suspension in. She drives so sweet and balanced. Can't wait to get back on the track. Hopefully at the end of the month I will make it back out to HTM for some real testing. I will post up a through review after that. In the mean time here are some photos and videos from the last couple of months. Excuse the super sized photos. To lazy to resize.
