Looking forward to this. Been shopping for a quality rebuildable coil kit for the corolla for some time.

Thanks for taking the time to R&D, if the MacPherson spindles were attached it would be the best ae86 kit on the market hands down.

Of course you can still prove that having the customer weld their new coils but personally I would be willing to pay the extra $$$ for spindles seeing as GreddyTRUST's are going for $1800...

/2cents & thanks again

There seems to be two camps with corolla owners, the over achievers and the budget guys. So there may be a divide in opinion on the spindle. Is there any technical advantage of supplying the spindle - or its simply a matter of convenience?

For most it will be a matter of convenience. The way Megan was originally doing it was: cut stock strut tube and slide the coilover onto it, then weld together. A lot of people had issues with that because they couldn't find a place to cut and weld, so Megan released the same thing with the spindles attached.

In the end, if people have good, straight, reusable spindles there is no reason they can't reuse them. The only trouble would be if someones spindle(s) were damaged.

Only option is getting the whole housing with spindle attached in used classifieds or junkyard replacements and the strut housing assemblies w/ attached spindle are ae86 specific if i'm not mistaken.

Getting harder to find but you're able to get them off of any ae86 (84-87) sr5's as well. People like to put the GTS AE86 suspension in their 'ke7x' 'te7x' etc chassis well

I just find it hard to justify purchasing a set of NEW coilovers without NEW spindles attached... Cost being the issue and sourcing the individual spindle? looking into megans seeing as they're 1250 with spindles and I believe 115 per strut down the road

TRUST being the only company I know of showing off their manufactured BARE spindle

NEVER seen this available stateside, but apparently Price:¥36,750(about $440)

I believe Greddy/Trust is still producing replacement spindles. The last time I saw them for sale they were roughly $250 per set, but that was years ago. The only issue is finding a dealer that can actually source the parts.

We can get anything out of Japan. So maybe the path of least resistance in bringing these parts to market would be to offer them with the trust spindle as an option. At least that would save us time and money on some tooling.
