Please make a thread as soon as the parts are available in the US. I'm wanting to get adjustable rear arms and maybe a set of new coilovers. If you guys don't have anything in a few months I'll probably be going with SPL, but I'd rather give you my support.

Sure thing
Z33 pro coilovers will be released mid february along with S13, S14 and Genesis applications.
These are coil-over-damper instead of separate coil and spring in the rear. They will be equipped with swift springs.

We are also currently in working on a complete multilink solution for the Z which will have
~straight tubular rear lower control arms (instead of the OEM spring boat)
~rear traction rod
~rear toe rod

Front end of the Z33 will be
~single pivot camber adjustable FLCA with spherical shock mount and caster adjustable compression rod combo
~bolt on super angle knuckle adapter
~tie rod, tie rod end, and rack position spacer
All of the front end items will be installed together since they are all designed around each other as a complete conversion front end. The result is up to 60 degrees of angle and a super flat tire patch at full lock.

Almost done with development just need to see about a boot for the rack position spacer, and also change that item to steel.

We initially set the ackerman to 5 degrees difference, but I think we'll make another knuckle adapter for 10-12 degrees and let Kado-San tell us which ones he prefers.

wow what can i say other than wow. ball joints look worked with this thing up in the air lol... god bring on the gold and orange brother... i have a fealing the 5 degree acramen is going to be best... love the relocation of the tension rods. i stared at that for hours trying to figure out how you would get around clearing those dam things... never the less looks amazing...

The joint is still happy, and only looks like that on full compressed suspension with full lock.

no way to tell when all we have finished is the hand made version.
I imagine it will be less than KPR since its not 100%CNC aluminum - we use a lower cost tubular steel construction.

Maybe we will later after these parts are completed, but we can achieve any desireable camber with the lower control arm so it seems like its not really needed unless you want to control the front track width...

I guess for grip drivers or street guys the upper A-arm is easier than converting the whole front end with our parts but if you have our front end its not needed for alignment.

that pic shows a straight tubular RLCA that replaced the spring boat, and you can see the coilover bottom mount as well.

DAN- quick question. do you know if the angle kit will need an 03-05 steering rack to work? the standard tie rod spacers and shaved bump stops only works on 03-05 zs. 06+ have a different rack and for some reason cant achieve any more angle with that method. I dont know why exactly. Thanks!

front suspension geometry is the same just the rack is diff. the front end conversion dan made for kado san's will work on the new 370 as well as the 350 we have one setting on the lift next Kado's race car right now.

I dont know about the difference in the racks, but the solution we are creating is quite different than the shaved bump stops and tie rod spacer method.
Anyhow
Can you find out what the difference is so I can see if it applies to our parts?

the steering racks are completely different at the sub-gear assembly, which makes the 06+ have difficulty gaining angle. To me this sounds like i would have to swap racks to benefit from your kit?

Notice that all adjustments are on the bracket side, not the bearing side (for easy access because bearing side is buried in the subframe) New clamping rod end receiver and clamping adjuster. Features reinforced, thicker brackets than s-chassis. Bell shaped bearing side spacers. Bomb proof.

Toe adjustable rear lower arm eliminates spring boat for use with our true coil-over-damper rear suspension.

Huh? With my Stance GR+ I'm on collars up front (did the hole saw special to clear the upper arms and they're still smacking the wheel well lol), almost (almost) sitting on collars in rear and I can't even put my shoe under the car. If I removed collars and max low'd I'd literally be setting the car on the ground (or the wheel wells on the tires.. whichever came first). This is all while maintaining some pre-load (no spring droop at all).

No hate or anything, just curious. I've actually seen people say their Stances don't go low enough a lot and it's just kind of strange to me. Are you on true coilovers or the oem style setup?

I think the real issue (for me anyway) is wheel size on Z33's. Put 18's on an S-chassis and you can damn near tuck rim while still having more ground clearance than my car has while only tucking about an inch of tire all around.

Attatched some pics for reference. The last one (025) is about the wheel fitment I have while sitting static, the middle one and top one is about how much ground clearance I have while static.

I think I'll mostly be getting a set of PBM coilovers just to try something different. Been rocking this height and setup for three years now (on shitty Louisiana roads too).

my car is that low....i want it lower....

the difference between us is im running 0 camber in the rear for obvious reasons. this causes the rear to naturally want to sit higher.
i am running true style rears. no spring droop. my fronts still have room to go lower but then ill sit stinkbug.

HOTDAM: I'm running 18x10.5 +15 all around with a 25mm spacer in the rear.

And yeah I'd like to zero out my rear camber a lot more but I'd have to sacrifice wheel fitment because that would require me to remove the spacer. The car handles good enough for right now (my alignment is pretty ridiculous right at about -3.5 camber 0 toe front and around -4.9 camber rear at like .5 toe, this is after an alignment).

Once I step up to 19" wheels and width and offsets I want I'll probably be able to have a more "performance" minded alignment setting. Maybe I won't care about my ground clearance as much when I get to Cali but I have to high center my car literally every day here in Louisiana. It's getting pretty old to say the least. I'd still high center on 19's but at least I'd have better wheel fitment while doing it lol.

Pretty cool you want to go lower. People usually raise their car when they start going for pro type driving.

we just got 18x10.5 and 18x9.5 rpf's for kado san's car. those plus pbm wheel spacers and pbm front suspension arms and rear arms and the new coilovers we will be testing for max = some stupid amazing stance and controle at very low ride height. cant wait. well have photos i think on the 29th if dan allows us to ???? DAN what ya say brother??

Thinking this is why Ryan raised the car.

My tires just barely rub my fenders running 245/35's on +15 10.5j RPF1's (pretty sure that's what are on Ryan's car) with less angle. His front camber looks closer to zero as well where mine is at -3.5.

Pretty excited to get all this. And what Royal said, Thanks, us Z dudes have been wanting this type of stuff for years.

I have Megan's..... unfortunately. I promised myself I'd buy better ones as soon as I put them on, found out you guys could possibly be making them for the Z, and have been waiting ever since. At the natural camber after lowering the car my rear camber was sitting at about -6.9 or something around there. After maxing out the Megans it's sitting at about -4.9.

actually the car is at like 4.5 of neg camber in the front in the photos and there 18x9.5 -10 in the front and 18x10.5 et0 in the rear thanks to max spacers. 10.5 in the front you would need some serious neg offset to clear the sway bar at full lock. like neg 18 min. the 9.5 front gives us the option to run less spacers and still have a streach on the 235/40/18 front tires. also rear is 265/35/18

Dang he is at -4.5 camber in the front that does not look like it but I will take your word for it... What size spacers are you running up front? and what is the original offset of those 9.5s?

So you are saying it would be impossible to run a 18x10 -8 with these arms? What about a 18x10 0 offset?

Also have you guys found out any more info on the 06+ Z?

royal the problem is not that you need less offset but that you need more to clear the sway at full lock. the 9.5 is normally +15 and it has the standard pbm spacer plate and two more stacked on it. ill look later and make the calculations. but i think were some where around -10 up front. i think dan has the exacts.

I'm running stock inners and outters with a PBM spacer and shaved stops. Ran no stops at the first LSB and it wound up grinding into my LCA's.

I know from a different forum that Royal doesn't get any grinding on his LCA. Probably the combo of his lower offset wheels and no steering spacer.

Hollywood some specs on the offset would be great. If I can go down to a 10j up front and just run a decently low offset (or really low depending on your outlook lol) and not have to run spacers I'll just do that. Really don't want to go down to a 9.5 or run spacers up front, but if I have to for the increased angle I will. Is a spacer preffered over a naturally lower offset 9.5j wheel?

o.g. the spacer and a natrually low offset wheel are the same thing as far as back spacing goes. your not trying to clear brakes mearly making more room on the inside to clear the sway bar at full lock. so really any kind of rim with low offset will work. we had a 17x10+15 on the front for mock up and needed about a -10 for it to clear and would still set under the fender at ryans prefered camber angel which is about -4.5 degrees camber. so all in all your ok with a ten just dont seam to make sence since 9.5 and a falken 245 still have good streach and a good contact patch. plus cheaper wheel and lighter weight.. which is a win win in my eyes.

The car review after track testing is pretty good. He says that the angle is massive, the traction is great, super flat tire contact patch, no steering lock feel towards the max angle. Impossible to spin.

royal anythin lower than an 8 will clear. after that its how far do you want the wheel out in terms of creating over steer and also looks. based on the two z's i have driven there pretty ballanced. imo some over steer would be good as far as flicking the car and with the extra angle it wouldnt have to many adverse affects.

also wanted to make it noted that the car feels like its impoible to spin cuz ryan has NEVER driven a car with a proper diff only spools and welded diffs so he really has never felt that much forward/rotational grip before. so i think you will see even harder transitions and entrys once he gets the car set up a little better.

he had a small incident and some alignment issues, but the thing with prototype parts is there are no spares. so he was unable to make a second attempt at qualifying. think there has been some good data collected and they will have more specific feed back once dan and martin see the car in a week or so. i was not there so i dont know. sorry guys but hope you can understand.. i can say that talking with ryan he said the car feels so neutral and has so much angle he litterally cant spin if he tried ( and he did just for fun)

We'll get him fixed up with some production level parts soon.

The first problem was with the compression rod adjuster because it was adjusted so far out that it had very little thread left in the arm so dirt dropping was enough to do that in, but it was welded and he continued. We didnt have the front bumper during prototype mock up so we didn't know quite how far forward to position the wheel. We will make the rod longer in the future and also the new forged ends are quite a but longer and a different style.

However with the Charles Ng crash not only did he have a broken tie rod but also a broken steering rack and, and there was no spare rack. They also tried to weld those parts but that likely burned the tie rod joint so he could not continue.

thanks dan. i didnt know how muc info you wanted to devolge. i was have to add after talking with edwin (ryans dad) i guess they had some guy weld the ends of the rack together and did so without isolating the rack end from the actual rack it self and the heat caused the rack seals to melt away so they lost controle of the car under and kind of lateral load. kinda no ones fault but there own there. never the less i think dan i got the info to make changes and get things under way... Dont forget people these are test products and done so under the harshest conditions so dont think this goes to show anything in regards to what they will release to the public.

instead of a complete rack upgrade i think just a higher pressure seal would be better so they dont leak. and talking with ryan what looked like a relatively low spead crash he said he pinned it thinking that charles was going to spin out of the way so he was at full lock and full throtle when he hit him, thats the reason right there that it split the rack. that and the one in a million shot directly into the tire like that. so ya maybe upgraded rack seals in the future but for now i think the set up is quite good. IMHO

Yes that would help out a lot. I just left XDC orlando and talked to matt waldin who won the event in a great battle with denofa. His front suspension is factory except for coilovers and tein inner tie rods. It just baffles me that he is killing it out there with no real angle mods.

I am rather astonished at a recent discovery, I never looked at the 370Z front end but it seems that the FLCA is very closely matching the single knuckle pivot conversion design we changed the 350Z front end to in our independent development.

It seems that our goals for improvement are closely aligned with Nissan's.

even the way the 370z FLCA bends over the tie rod. See the resemblances?

since the coilover is close to the steering axis and inboard I dont think it would be a problem.
to verify I would jack up the car and have someone steer side to side so that you can see if it looks like it it would be a problem with additional angle or if it looks like it would clear any angle.

it would be a similar configuration to the nissan s13 s14 RLCA only smaller. Those run $550. This part is not really essential to achieve alignment because if you have the lower arms everything you need to adjust is already adjustable except maybe track width independant of camber

I'll have to search my comp. for a picture but i'll get it for you. That portion of the frame (more like the upper most portion of the wheel well) is modifyable and mine are modified but my control arms still hit at times. Pretty much what all the really low guys do it just cut a hole in that area to give it a bit more clearance. I'm thinking about eventually just having the entire upper wheel well modified to accomodate, but it may not be necessary with 19's.

Ive noticed a difference visually on the different steering racks in their power steering fittings area, but if there was some difference in width... that would be absorbed in the tie rod adjuster when bringing the aftermarket parts from one car to another.

Its a really insane amount of adjustment available, you just cant use all of it, there is way more than enough for any setting you want.

awesome, thats all i wanted to hear.
im use to schassis parts, and always wondered when aftermarket t/c rods would be available for the z. With shaved bump stops, my old work t1s 20x10 +6 up fronts use to hit my bumper when going lock to lock, Wish i would of had these then! glad to see these becoming available, better late then never.

I'll make some announcement soon when I have the details. It is pretty revolutionary since the new release ITR will have a joint based on a spherical bearing instead of the OEM type ball joint.

Loads of angle! we love it!!

This was shot through the bumper, as you can see we have the U turn radius of a tank

Before you get started with install, look closely at ths dimple punched in the subframe near this nut and bolt. You have to slice the bumps off the inside of the subframe with a cut off wheel to get our (flat) bearing side spacers to slide into the subframe. (and you should spray paint the cut steel black again)

We covered up the tie rod and rack offset spacer with a (universal fit) long rubber shock boot from a local off road truck accessory shop.

This car came to us with 25mm wheel spacers, and adjustable upper arms, so we dialed out the LCA and the UCA 25mm each and ditched the wheel spacer. However I must caution everyone that this is the absolute longest we could go on this customers tein Z33 inner tie rods. We recommend S14 inner tie rods for the most thread overlap with the turnbuckle for strength. This car has a wheel and tire size of 18x9.5+12 235/40/18

In these next few shots you can see the contact surface of the aluminum knuckle has been sanded down for MAX angle.
You can grind little by little to find the right amount of bumpstop for your car's setup to tune the final angle to the wheel size & offset.

When you are mounting the gold knuckle bracket, you have to tighten the left and right bolt little by little to bring up the bracket flat. If you tighten one side all the way then go to do the other side it will not line up nearly as well.

Another shot of the bump stop surface contact near full lock

This is the position you want the Compression (caster) rod end joint when the car is in the air and the suspension is at full droop. That puts the ball in the happy spot when the car is at static ride height.

The way you get it in position is with the car in the air, angle the joint into position with a screwdriver and then clamp the rod end receiver.

It comes with the outer tie rod and not the inner. Use a S14 ITR cut to 9 & 5/8 inches from the rack surface to the end of the rod.

we are currently working on a spherical bearing based ITR but there is no time line on it yet, still manufacturing the sample then testing, then production. It will be a while.

The Z33 inners are shorter than the S14 inners, The Z ones will screw into the outer but you just dont have enough threads to properly adjust everything. Just went threw this with my SAK, picked up some S14 rods cut them and then got everything aligned, you dont have much toe out adjustment with the stock ones though, only got a good 1/16 toe out on mine after the alignment got done. Might get Ikeyas later or just wait for the PSM inners to come out.

Dont use Z33. use S14 tein, local auto parts store stocking brand, any cheap one is fine for now if you are waiting on ours. cut to 9 & 5/8 inch from rack surface to end of ITR

A customer already crashed their car into a wall! Whats important to see here is that the compression rod absorbed the crash energy instead of the subframe mount. He also bent the little tooth on the rack offset spacer. That rod/spacer is cheap and easy to replace. The remainder of the kit was unharmed. (we have new parts on the way to him now at $150 shipped)

you cut to the length required to achieve toe alignment and maximum thread overlap in the turnbuckle according to other settings in your install. its going to be under 10 inches to the rack spacer for sure.

I bought SAKZ33 + rods S14 and I had questions:
1 and the 2nd picture - why these 4 ports? For greasing?
3 - at a full twisting of rod there is a gap 2мм!
4 - mad difference in length of rods! In your manual the kit is built on factory rods! Really not big trimming will correct a situation?

And where to take boots on rods? What sizes it has to have? From what car approach?

1-2 set screw helps retain spherical bearing in forged housing
3 looks like we should consider chamfering the threaded hole to sit flush, but I think its no concern for strength. You can dremel the edge of the threaded hole opening to increase surface area contact in the space pictured. Use loctite.
4. the difference here is mainly because of the difference in length of the outer tie rod joint length, MAX versus OEM Z. The actual cut length that yields maximum thread overlap and correct toe alignment will be determined by your cars choice of track width setting.

we use the super long off road truck shock boot and cut it to size, ziptie it on.
someone posted a link to the boot on page 26 of this thread.

Its hard to say how long since its a flexible rubber bellow. I think its best to get one thats too long and then observe the stretch and crush to find the right length, then cut and ziptie it.

it will not be a sandwich plate, it will be a new knuckle with built in dual caliper mounts.

I instaled z33 sak yesterday and I'm getting extremelly bad ackerman and my caliper hits the coilover. They are BC BR series, so no external reservoirs. Was wondering if you have any suggestions? PS only getting 55 degrees of angle with inner wheel.

1. make sure your toe alignment is zero unless you want quick initiation and then its a few mm toe out. 2. Make sure your caster alignment is correct (less is better in this situation). 3. Increase the track width of the FLCA 4. Weld metal to the arm at the bump stop point if you have ground too much from the OEM aluminum. If it takes 2 less degrees of steering angle to keep it from binding then 2 degrees less useable angle is way better than 2 degrees more unusable angle.

We run Total 2mm toe out, 2.5 Camber, and 7.5-8 Castor with no understeer, also make sure you have some decent front tyres

or run less caster and wheel spacers or lower offset rims will kill understeer as well. honestly zero toe or .05 toe in is perfection reason for this is once load is transfered to the rear the thrust angle changes the toe causing it to toe out naturally. even toe will give better feed back and feal and allow for much easier mid drift corrections.
as far as camber think last i remember kado is running like 5 degrees camber up front but just like above once the thrust angle is used the camber will change so under load 5 will become like 4.5 or 4 depending on your spring rate and of course what motor and dampening blah blah blah. so keep this stuff in mind.

you need to space out the front man. parts shot max makes rad wheel spacers. this will kill all your under steer whoes. and here is a photo of kado's car with the same situation so you know your not the only one.

In the picture I'm running different than normal. In the front I usually use an 18x10 +12 offset and a 18x12 +20 in the rear. 255 35 18 front 265-275 35 18 rear 43 psi. Adjusted track width to .25" on each side running 5 degrees of camber. I forget the rest...oh yah -10 caster.

buy good tires they last longer lol.. ultimatly ive had dam good luck with gt radial champiro 328 tires. sticky ish and last a while longer than other this i have put on my car so far. but dont nearly last as long as a maxis or kenda tire. those fuckers last forever. like no shit forever

My name is Brandon and Im very new to this forum but thought i could chime in here, i had thought the same thing but had a chance to speak with kado at fd, while i was talking to him and his pit guys, i asked him about his camber set up because ot didnt look anywhere near mine which was -4.5. He told me that they tried that setup for a while and found it was good for reverse entries but around -2.5 was a better set up with 0 toe and 6.5-7.5 ackerman, i think his words were less than 8 degrees. Just wanted to throw that out there.

I get that, he said however that camber around -4.5 had too much change and less camber kept a more even patch between both tires lock to lock. If you really want to know what his current set up is youd have to ask him at that time he wasnt near -4.5. Personally i think the huge amounts of camber in front isnt necessary but thats my opinion, i like the set up with -2.4 to -2.7 but to each his own.

more even contact patch at lock would be from combining low caster with small amount of static camber or high caster angle with high static camber.

Yes, its our FUCA prototype

you must take off the FUCA to adjust. we dont really care if its time consuming to adjust, there is no room for the double threaded adjuster there & you set it and leave it forever unless you change wheel width/offset
