Hey guys. My name is Travis and I am from western Canada. I have been drifting for a close to 4 years now. I competed in the D-sport series for a year and then DMCC took over and I have been driving in that series for the last 2 years. In 09 i ended up 10th overall and this year I finished 7th, 4th and 1st in our first three rounds we had. anyways i thought i would post up my 180sx which i have been driving the last few years and my new 2011 s13 vert project. thanks for looking
the car when i bought it back on 06.
how the car looked this season
Had a little accident in our round one competition. hit a wall going around 75 mph. pushed frame over a half inch, bent sub frame. rear drivers side wheel was over an inch forward compared to the other side. threw on a new LCA and did a measuring tape alignment and went on to get seventh place.
port a power and a hammer fix
Edmonton Honda Indy Drift Demo. probably the most fun i have ever had driving. HUGE course, so fast, 12 car tandem.
new car for next year.
If you wanted to keep up with any updates or see a full parts list of the cars you can search Presidential Drift on facebook. Its a drift team me and a couple buddies made for fun. thanks
canadians are so lucky eing able to bring cars from japan. I had to put mexican plates just to keep it sr20 it cost me 1200 bucks after everything that's a disco potato setup!!!! Nice cars btw.
Welcome! its so interesting to see the rear end all empty and then put back together race car style. The tubular front end is great too but its not common to see the rear end. Thanks for showing it.
thanks guys, the front and rear bash bars are both removable and the rear one actually will stick out of the bumper slightly for wall taps similar to joon's mazda. i will post up some more pics of the vert when i get further along. just in the middle of putting my sr back together.
couple updates on the vert project. stripped the motor down and changed a few things here and there powdercoated all the engine brackets and cermanic coated the exhaust mani. got a new wiring specialties harness and stripped it down, in the process of tucking it and cleaning it up. some pics of my sub frame i braced up as well.
wow i have never noticed that. i have been running the angle kit and lca's like that the last couple summers and loved them. a few guys i drive with also did it that way. i will have to make some changes i think
I have been working on the car like crazy lately. engine in, chassis wired, fabbed up front rad support, hydro e brake/braking system done etc etc. almost ready to start the car up
