Well, I thought I starting a thread about my GC and myself drifting would be the best way to show support for Power By Max and their GC product line. I love all the PBM parts I have installed on my car. The function of the parts have been amazing.
PBM Products: Super Steering Angle Kit Pro Coilovers Subframe Risers Rear Toe Rods Rear Tension Rods Rear Traction Rods Rear Upper & Lower Control Arms Weighted & Adjustable Shift Knob Hydraulic hand brake
Other Mods: AGPturbo FMIC CP-E Intake Synapse BOV Whiteline Rear Sway NRG Steering Wheel Deka Battery Buddy Club P1 Racing Seat Stripped Interior
I will post a vid from the next Justdrift event at the end of Feb.
I have about 15k miles with those mods. I have checked the plugs to see how the fuel is burning and they look like I have a good afr. When I go to the track I put in a few gallons of 100 octane or at minimum some good octane booster as a safety measure. I kept the entire stock exhaust and cats which I think helps the o2 sensors send a true air fuel reading to the cpu.
i still like these cars but everyone i have spoken to with them are like all the other honda dick heads out there that dont know an engine from a whole in the ground. hope someone other than rhyse gets a hold of these and dose some sick shit with them (caugh caugh dans car) lol
sorry for the outburst after reading dans post i got a little fired up over a convo i had just the other day with a gen coupe owner up here ugh ugh ugh ..
was going to ask how do you tune these things ? re flash posible or whats the deal with that, my little multi function tool only lets me fucs wit timing and that is it, even after that i dont think the changes stick its just for diagnostics...
Yeah, I find that most gencoupe guys bought the car for looks. There are a few that have done some nice work to the motors with the limited tuning options. To be honest there are like 5 guys on gencoupe that drift and half of them are in Korea. Where I get the most interest is at the track. People love seeing the genesis out there drifting. Especially at Irwindale, actually at every event. Dan, you should make it out to the Sideway Sundays events at Toyota Speedway this year. You will feel much better about the future drift market for these cars once you get 20 people asking you about the car.
Haltec stand alone should open things up for the 2.0T. The V6 doesn't get much support other than bolt ons. CMD does make a piggy back that can adjust fuel.
Had to buy the upper traction and control arms so I can have more than 1" of compression travel. Yep, 1" is all I have in the rear with stock arms. Can't wait for the 25th at HTM. Heard its a challenging track. Can't wait to see Dan out there with the H-brake and angle kit. Man I have to get those. Angle kit for me by April? What do you think Dan, can happen?
