brand new to the forum thought id slap my car up here. its just got an sr20 with a s15 turbo makes like 280whp, kts coils with ultra low rear shock bodies, pbm sub-frame risers, hmic, and intake. In the process of doin widebody right now will post pics when its done.
tire wear with that offset (17x9 +2) i had to run -3 degrees camber in the rear and was just blowin through tires. that and the drivers side quarter panel is all fucked up from an accident kinda hard to see in the pic but pretty wavy
went drifting on the 13th check thunderdrift.com for a couple pix not many though cause i ended up blowing my engine process of rebuilding with cp pistons eagle rods and a metal head gasket. anyone got any suggestions on head gasket brands still undecided
why did you blow it? my buddy blew his on the dyno but it was a red top. Was it oil starvation? I'm curious because I've seen several s13 sr20s blow bearings and what not. Anyway nice car
um im not a hundred % sure but i think i mght of got i lil to crazy tuning it and had some detonation when i was drifting and lost compression in cylinder 1. when i took it apart the only signs of damage were some small marks on the side of the pistons along with some black burn lookin marks but i guess thats all it takes haha
my buddy spun cylinder 4 bearing on the dyno at only 294whp at 19psi with one of those ebay turbos and he had 740cc injectors. The worst part is his bottom end was built with eagle rods and cp pistons and it never detonated. He had the stock oil pan though.
My suggestion is that if your going to go all out you should upgrade everything related to oil since sr20s are really oil dependant. Upgrade at least the oil pan because I saw that you have the stock one and I've heard that even a small dent can cause oil starvation.
